Our school motto Whakapono ki a koe - Believe in yourself is at the heart of who we are, and what we do at our school. 

This has come to mean many things for our learners at Roscommon:

• Have respect for yourself and others, as people, as learners.

• If you are faced with challenges, know that you have what it takes to rise to them, and that you will grow in self belief through achievement of your goals.

• You have the power to make choices for your life. Education increases your ability to choose.

• Everything in life is about learning. There are no mistakes, only lessons that you haven't learned yet.

• 'Yourself' includes not only you, but your family, friends and community - your whanau.

• Self belief is a love of all that you are and can be, and loving and caring for others.
